Mince and Smoked Cheddar Dumplings
Ingredients
Mince mixture
- 1/2 bag Morrisons Plant Revolution mighty mince
- Water
- Oxo vegetable stock cube
- Bisto best onion gravy granules
- Black pepper
- White pepper
Dumplings
- 60g Atora vegetable suet
- 120g self-raising flour
- Pinch of sea salt
- Cold water
- 50g smoked cheddar cheese
Preparation
Cook the mince with water, vegetable stock cube, onion gravy granules, black pepper, and white pepper until thickened
In a separate bowl, mix vegetable suet, self-raising flour, and sea salt, then add cold water slowly until a dough forms
Stir grated smoked cheddar into the dough mixture
Shape the dough into 8 balls
Place the dumpling balls on top of the cooked mince mixture
Bake in the oven at 190°C for 21 minutes until the dumplings are cooked
Side dishes
Roast parsnips and chantenay carrots in the oven until tender
Prepare broccoli by roasting, steaming, or boiling until cooked
