Mince and Smoked Cheddar Dumplings

Ingredients

Mince mixture

  • 1/2 bag Morrisons Plant Revolution mighty mince
  • Water
  • Oxo vegetable stock cube
  • Bisto best onion gravy granules
  • Black pepper
  • White pepper

Dumplings

  • 60g Atora vegetable suet
  • 120g self-raising flour
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Cold water
  • 50g smoked cheddar cheese

Preparation

  1. Cook the mince with water, vegetable stock cube, onion gravy granules, black pepper, and white pepper until thickened

  2. In a separate bowl, mix vegetable suet, self-raising flour, and sea salt, then add cold water slowly until a dough forms

  3. Stir grated smoked cheddar into the dough mixture

  4. Shape the dough into 8 balls

  5. Place the dumpling balls on top of the cooked mince mixture

  6. Bake in the oven at 190°C for 21 minutes until the dumplings are cooked

Side dishes

  1. Roast parsnips and chantenay carrots in the oven until tender

  2. Prepare broccoli by roasting, steaming, or boiling until cooked
