Build a Vegan Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1-2 cups frozen fruit of choice
- 1-2 cups veggies of choice
- 1-2 cups liquid of choice (dairy-free milk, coconut water, juice, brewed tea or coffee)
- 1-2 tablespoons nut butter
- dairy-free yogurt
- hemp seeds
- tofu
- protein powder
- cacao
- maca
- matcha
Preparation
Add 1-2 cups of frozen fruit to a blender.
Add 1-2 cups of veggies of choice and blend with liquid first if they are not blending properly.
Add 1-2 cups of liquid of choice, such as dairy-free milk or coconut water.
Thicken with 1-2 tablespoons of nut butter or add dairy-free yogurt, hemp seeds, or tofu.
Boost with protein powder or energy boosters like cacao, maca, or matcha.
Blend all ingredients together until smooth.
Tips
Most veggies are barely noticeable once blended.
Blend veggies with liquid first if blending issues arise.
An example combination is spinach, banana, protein powder, soy milk, and hemp seeds for a nutrient-dense smoothie.
