Easy to Prepare Buttermilk Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons corn oil
  • 2 cups buttermilk (made by combining 2 cups fresh milk with 2 tablespoons vinegar or lemon juice)
  • A small amount of vanilla essence

Optional toppings

  • Jam, maple syrup, or any preferred filling

Preparation

  1. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar together until well combined.

  2. Add the flour, buttermilk, corn oil, and whisk until smooth and no lumps remain; set aside.

  3. Beat the egg whites with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form.

  4. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the flour mixture.

  5. Heat the waffle maker.

  6. Pour the batter into the waffle maker according to its size.

  7. Cook until the waffles are crisp to your desired level.
