Fluffy Vegan American Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 300g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2-3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 250 ml plant-based milk
  • 150 ml water or aquafaba
  • Vegan margarine to fry in

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and vanilla sugar.

  2. In another bowl, combine the plant-based milk and water or aquafaba.

  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, ensuring the batter is adequately sweetened.

  4. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add vegan margarine to fry the pancakes.

  5. Pour batter into the pan and cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
