Turkish Egg and Tomato Breakfast
Ingredients
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon red pepper powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- a pinch of cheese (optional, can use different types)
Preparation
Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic and tomatoes, and cook until tomatoes are softened.
Stir in salt, red pepper powder, and black pepper.
Add eggs and scramble until fully cooked.
Sprinkle with cheese and serve immediately.
Tips
Sprinkle a little thyme on the tomatoes for added flavor.
Different types of cheese can be substituted as desired.
