Pan-Fried Turkish Su Böreği
Ingredients
- 2 fresh phyllo sheets
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup crumbled white cheese
- a pinch of chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- butter or oil for frying
Preparation
Whisk milk, olive oil, eggs, cheese, parsley, and salt together in a bowl
Roll up the phyllo sheets and cut them into irregular pieces with scissors
Mix everything well
Let the mixture rest for 3-4 minutes
Pour the mixture into a well-oiled pan and cook on low heat with the lid on, about 10 minutes per side
Occasionally check the bottom with a spatula
Tips
Cook on low heat with the lid closed for best results
