Pan-Fried Turkish Su Böreği

Ingredients

  • 2 fresh phyllo sheets
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup crumbled white cheese
  • a pinch of chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • butter or oil for frying

Preparation

  1. Whisk milk, olive oil, eggs, cheese, parsley, and salt together in a bowl

  2. Roll up the phyllo sheets and cut them into irregular pieces with scissors

  3. Mix everything well

  4. Let the mixture rest for 3-4 minutes

  5. Pour the mixture into a well-oiled pan and cook on low heat with the lid on, about 10 minutes per side

  6. Occasionally check the bottom with a spatula

Tips

  1. Cook on low heat with the lid closed for best results
