Cheese Omelette with Cheddar and Herbs

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • A knob of butter
  • 60g extra mature cheddar cheese
  • Sea salt
  • Chives
  • Chilli flakes

Preparation

  1. Beat the eggs.

  2. Melt the butter in a pan, such as a wok or frying pan.

  3. Add the beaten eggs and stir for the first few seconds to achieve a thicker omelette.

  4. Cook on one side until almost completely done.

  5. Add the cheddar cheese and fold the omelette.

  6. Cover with a lid and cook until the cheese melts and the omelette is fully cooked.

  7. Season with sea salt, chives, and chilli flakes.

Tips

  1. Stirring the eggs initially helps create a thicker texture as preferred.

  2. A wok can be substituted with a frying pan for the same results.
