Indonesian Roti John Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 4 slices white bread
  • 1 sachet corned beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 4 slices cheese
  • Grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 thinly sliced tomato
  • Mayonnaise to taste
  • Chili sauce to taste
  • Margarine for spreading

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix eggs, corned beef, ground black pepper, salt, and chopped onion, then beat until well combined.

  2. Prepare a non-stick pan, add a little margarine, pour a small amount of the egg mixture, let it cook halfway, then cover with one slice of bread and spread a little margarine on top.

  3. Flip so that the bread is on the bottom, add desired toppings such as cheese slices, tomato, mayonnaise, chili sauce, and grated cheese, then fold the bread in half while pressing lightly and remove from the pan, repeat for the remaining bread slices.

  4. Serve warm with dipping sauce and a glass of hot tea.
