Smashed Chickpea Gyro

Ingredients

  • 1- 15oz can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tsp granulated onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, mash chickpeas with a fork or potato masher until desired consistency

  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well

  3. Serve in pita bread with desired toppings

  4. I like it best with Tzatziki sauce and Greek salad
