Kofta Meatballs with Tahini Sauce
Ingredients
Kofta
- 1/4 cup rice
- 300 grams ground meat
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon mixed spices
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Tahini sauce
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 2 cups milk or yogurt
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup water
Preparation
Wash the rice and soak it for 5 minutes.
In a bowl, combine the rice, ground meat, onion, mixed spices, salt, black pepper, parsley, and olive oil. Mix well to form a homogeneous mixture and shape into kofta balls.
In a wide skillet, heat oil and fry the kofta balls.
Prepare the tahini sauce by mixing tahini, yogurt or milk, salt, black pepper, olive oil, and water in a bowl.
Pour the tahini sauce over the fried kofta balls, let it simmer, then serve.

The dish can also be baked in the oven.
