Lamb Stew with Potatoes and Squash

Ingredients

  • 1 kg lamb with bone, cut
  • 1 packet thin bread
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 10 small onions
  • 1 tablespoon chopped ginger
  • 3 large peeled and chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 6-7 small potatoes
  • 250 grams squash, cubed
  • 1 chili pepper, sliced
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon meat spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander

Preparation

  1. Bring a large serving dish and set it aside

  2. Sprinkle some salt and pepper on the meat

  3. In a large pot, put the oil, heat on high heat and add the meat, stir until golden brown, then remove the meat from the pot

  4. To the same pot, add garlic and onion, stir until golden, add ginger and tomato paste, stir until vegetables soften

  5. Add lemon, salt, pepper, meat spice, cumin, coriander, tomatoes, paste, chili, and squash, stir until mixed

  6. Add the meat, let it cook on medium heat for 60 minutes until meat is cooked, add potatoes and squash, let the stew boil until done

  7. Place the bread in the serving dish after breaking it into small pieces, pour the broth over it, let it absorb, then distribute the meat, potatoes, squash, and lemon, serve immediately
