Orange Ginger Tofu
Ingredients
- tofu
- sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic and a 1 inch nub of fresh ginger
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/8 cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 2 tsp agave or sweetener of choice
- 1tsp cornstarch and 1/4 cup water
- white rice or noodles
- 2 cloves chopped garlic
- sea salt and sesame seeds
Preparation
First drain and cube tofu
Put on a lightly sesame oiled sheet pan in 425 oven
Cook 10 mins, flip cook 10 more and put aside -meanwhile for sauce chop 3 cloves garlic and a 1 inch nub of fresh ginger
Sauté in 1tsp toasted sesame oil until fragrant and toasty
Add 1 cup orange juice
Add 1/8 cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
Add 2 tsp agave or sweetener of choice
Bring to a boil
In a cup make a slurry by mixing 1tsp cornstarch and 1/4 cup water with a fork
Add slurry to boiling mixture
And watch it get thick fairly quickly. -add tofu to sticky sweet, tangy and salty sauce
This would pair very well with white rice or noodles but I opted for those power grains. ?SESAME SPINACH RECIPE
Saute 2 cloves chopped garlic in sesame oil until toasty
Add a ton of baby spinach move around until slightly wilted and turn off heat -sprinkle with sea salt and sesame seeds
