Orange Ginger Tofu

Ingredients

  • tofu
  • sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic and a 1 inch nub of fresh ginger
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/8 cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 2 tsp agave or sweetener of choice
  • 1tsp cornstarch and 1/4 cup water
  • white rice or noodles
  • 2 cloves chopped garlic
  • sea salt and sesame seeds

Preparation

  1. First drain and cube tofu

  2. Put on a lightly sesame oiled sheet pan in 425 oven

  3. Cook 10 mins, flip cook 10 more and put aside -meanwhile for sauce chop 3 cloves garlic and a 1 inch nub of fresh ginger

  4. Sauté in 1tsp toasted sesame oil until fragrant and toasty

  5. Add 1 cup orange juice

  6. Add 1/8 cup soy sauce or coconut aminos

  7. Add 2 tsp agave or sweetener of choice

  8. Bring to a boil

  9. In a cup make a slurry by mixing 1tsp cornstarch and 1/4 cup water with a fork

  10. Add slurry to boiling mixture

  11. And watch it get thick fairly quickly. -add tofu to sticky sweet, tangy and salty sauce

  12. This would pair very well with white rice or noodles but I opted for those power grains. ?SESAME SPINACH RECIPE

  13. Saute 2 cloves chopped garlic in sesame oil until toasty

  14. Add a ton of baby spinach move around until slightly wilted and turn off heat -sprinkle with sea salt and sesame seeds
