Maple Orange Tempeh
Ingredients
- 1 block tempeh, cut into strips
- 1/2 cup veggie broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tsp Sriracha
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger minced
- 2 tbsp orange juice
Preparation
In a pan, add tempeh and veggie broth
Bring to a low simmer and cover pan with a lid for 3-4 minutes
In a bowl whisk together remaining ingredients except orange juice and set aside
Once tempeh has steamed, remove lid and allow remaining veggie broth to absorb into tempeh at a medium heat
Pour in sauce and with a spatula lightly toss tempeh together to coat in sauce
Allow sauce to thicken and infuse into the tempeh
When tempeh starts to brown around the edges, add orange juice and cook for an additional minute
Remove from pan and serve
