Potato Casserole with Meat

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 500 grams ground meat
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 green bell peppers, chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 medium carrot, diced small
  • 1 cup broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spices
  • 1 tablespoon flour

Potatoes

  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika, then arrange them in a baking dish.

  3. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.

  4. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.

  5. Add the ground meat and cook until browned.

  6. Stir in the green bell peppers, tomatoes, tomato paste, peas, carrot, broth, salt, black pepper, paprika, oregano, mixed spices, and flour.

  7. Simmer the mixture for 10-15 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  8. Pour the meat mixture over the potatoes in the baking dish.

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until the potatoes are golden and tender.

  10. Serve hot.
