Classic French Apple Beignet

Ingredients

  • 3 apples
  • 100 grams self rising flour
  • 1 egg
  • 70 ml milk
  • 30 grams butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Cinnamon + sugar, for dusting

Preparation

  1. Mix the self-rising flour, egg, milk, and melted butter to make a batter.

  2. Slice the apples into thin pieces.

  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

  4. Dip the apple slices in the batter and fry until golden brown on both sides.

  5. Remove from oil, drain excess oil, and dust with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
