Braided Pear Galette Dessert
Ingredients
- 2 pie crusts
- Butter
- 3 pears, thinly sliced
- About 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- Egg for egg wash
Preparation
Spread butter between two pie crusts and roll out.
Place an 8-inch plate on top, leaving 1.5 to 2 inches of crust around the edge.
Cut into 1/2-inch strips.
Braid as shown in the video.
Sprinkle the bottom with cinnamon sugar.
Layer on the pears.
Sprinkle with more cinnamon sugar.
Brush the edge with egg wash and sprinkle with more cinnamon sugar.
Dot the top with butter.
Bake at 400 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
