Cinnamon Pear Hand Pies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp coconut sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp almond milk
Filling
- 1/2 cup finely diced pears
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp coconut sugar
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking sheet.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and sugar, then stir in the almond milk and use hands to form a dough ball.
On a lightly floured surface, flatten the dough and cut out 8 circles using a large cookie cutter or cup.
Place small amounts of the filling in the center of 4 circles, place the remaining dough circles on top, and seal with a fork.
Place on the baking sheet, lightly coat the tops with melted butter, and bake for 13 minutes.
Notes
Apples can be used instead of pears in the filling.
Optionally top with frosting and extra coconut sugar after baking.
