Apple Jam Galette with Shortbread Crust
Ingredients
Dough
- 100 grams cold butter
- 200 grams flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1 egg yolk
- 30-40 ml cold water
Jam
- 200-300 grams berries
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 50 grams sugar
Apples
- 3-4 apples
Preparation
Make the dough by mixing flour, salt, cold butter, and egg yolk, then add cold water to form a dough and chill it.
Prepare the jam by cooking berries, sugar, and cornstarch together in a saucepan until thickened.
Peel and slice the apples.
Assemble the galette by rolling out the dough, spreading the jam over it, arranging the apple slices on top, and folding the edges of the dough over the filling.
Bake in a preheated oven until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
