Crispy Vegan Chickpea Nuggets
Ingredients
- 2 cans (440g) chickpeas
- 1 onion
- 1/2 cup (50g) oats
- 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast (optional)
- 1 Tsp smoked paprika
- 1 Tsp garlic powder
- 1 Tsp mustard
- salt to taste
Coating
- 1/2 cup (125ml) plant milk
- 3/4 cup (90g) crushed cornflakes
Preparation
Use a food processor or blender to combine the chickpeas, onion, oats, nutritional yeast, smoked paprika, garlic powder, mustard, and salt into a mixture.
Form the mixture into nugget shapes.
Dip each nugget in plant milk and then coat with crushed cornflakes.
Bake at 180°C (360°F) for 15 minutes.
Tips
These nuggets can also be made in an air fryer.
Dip in your favorite sauce for serving.
