Dippy Eggs with Pizza Toast Soldiers

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • Wholemeal bread
  • No added sugar tomato ketchup
  • Grated mozzarella
  • Pastrami-style slices

Preparation

  1. Bring water to a boil

  2. Add eggs to the boiling water

  3. Cook the eggs for exactly 5 minutes and 20 seconds

  4. Remove the eggs and carefully take off the tops

  5. Toast the wholemeal bread on one side

  6. Flip the bread and top with no added sugar tomato ketchup

  7. Add grated mozzarella and pastrami-style slices on top

  8. Cut out circles using a piping nozzle or similar tool

  9. Place under the grill until the edges are slightly burnt

Tips

  1. Be precise with the egg cooking time to avoid hard-boiled eggs

  2. Slightly burnt edges on the toast add texture, but it's still edible if overdone
