Steamed Mochi with Chocolate Filling
Ingredients
Dough
- 125 grams glutinous rice flour
- 135 milliliters water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 60 grams caster sugar
- 20 grams shortening or white butter
- Food coloring, as needed (optional)
Filling
- Choco Crunch, as needed
Coating
- Roasted cornstarch, as needed
Preparation
Mix the glutinous rice flour, water, salt, and sugar until smooth, then sift.
Steam the mixture in a non-stick container for 25-30 minutes until transparent, then remove and let it cool slightly.
Add shortening and knead until smooth for 5-10 minutes. Add food coloring to taste.
Take about 1 tablespoon of dough, add the filling, seal well, then roll in the coating. Repeat until all dough is used.
The mochi is ready to serve.
