Grilled Banana with Palm Sugar Sauce

Ingredients

  • 10 ripe kepok bananas
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Palm sugar sauce

  • 150 grams palm sugar
  • 3 tablespoons fibercreme dissolved in 100 ml warm water
  • 150 ml water
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 pandan leaf

Preparation

  1. Peel the bananas and flatten them by cutting in half.

  2. In a grill pan or Teflon pan, melt the butter and grill the bananas until golden brown, then remove and arrange on a serving dish.

  3. For the sauce: Add palm sugar, pandan leaf, and water to a pot and boil until it boils. Add the dissolved fibercreme mixture, stir well, add salt, stir, then remove from heat and strain.

  4. Pour the sauce over the grilled bananas and serve. Optionally, sprinkle with nuts or sesame seeds.
