Vegetarian Crispy Chicken Burger Fakeaway

Ingredients

  • 3 Viva Vivera plant tenders
  • Naked Glory roast tenderstrips
  • Beaten egg for coating
  • 10g Sainsbury's puffed wheat
  • Smoked paprika
  • Onion salt
  • Deliciou maple bacon seasoning
  • Black pepper
  • White pepper
  • Tarragon
  • Paprika flakes
  • 1 tablespoon NKD Living erythritol gold
  • Pilgrims Choice extra mature cheddar slice
  • 1/2 tablespoon Sriracha mayo
  • Caramelised onion compote (made from onions, balsamic vinegar, and sweetener)
  • Lettuce
  • Red onion
  • Brioche bun
  • Egg for brushing
  • Black onion seeds
  • Sesame seeds

Preparation

  1. Mix the Viva Vivera plant tenders with Naked Glory roast tenderstrips and shape into patties

  2. Coat the shaped patties in beaten egg

  3. Coat the egg-washed patties in a mixture of bashed puffed wheat, smoked paprika, onion salt, Deliciou maple bacon seasoning, black pepper, white pepper, tarragon, and paprika flakes

  4. Spray the coated patties with oil and bake for 18 minutes

  5. For the caramelised onion compote, cook onions with balsamic vinegar and sweetener until caramelised

  6. Brush the brioche bun with egg, sprinkle with black onion seeds and sesame seeds, and toast in the oven for a few minutes

  7. Assemble the burger with baked patties, cheddar slice, sriracha mayo, caramelised onion compote, lettuce, and red onion

  8. Serve with salad
