Vegan Jamaican Jerk Mushroom Chicken
Ingredients
Chick’n
- 6 king oyster mushrooms
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp sage
- 1 tbsp all purpose seasoning
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1-2 tsp jerk marinade
- 3 rice paper sheets
Coating seasoning
- 1-2 tsp jerk seasoning
- 1/2 tsp all purpose seasoning
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp oil
Preparation
Boil the mushrooms with sage, all-purpose seasoning, jerk marinade, and nutritional yeast for 10 minutes, then drain and pat dry with a kitchen towel.
Assemble the mixture by layering the rice paper and seasonings to form drumsticks or boneless pieces as desired.
Coat the assembled pieces with the coating seasoning and oil.
Air fry or roast at 190°C for 15-20 minutes.
Notes
This recipe makes about 3 pieces of chick’n, with each piece using approximately 150g or 2 mushrooms.
