Peanut Chocolate Crunch Treat

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups unsalted peanuts
  • 3 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 160 grams dark chocolate
  • Sea salt flakes

Preparation

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180° (fan forced)

  2. Place peanuts in food processor and chop, don’t over chop (keep some big and others small)

  3. In a medium bowl, add peanut butter, maple syrup and baking powder then fold in chopped peanuts until all is mixed in well

  4. Line baking tray, spread mixture so it's thin and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden

  5. Remove from oven and let it cool

  6. Melt chocolate, spread it all over the cooled mixture and let it semi-set before sprinkling salt

  7. Place in fridge for 2 hours, then cut it up and store it in airtight container in fridge or freezer
