Vegan Creamy Pea Hummus Dip
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups cooked chickpeas (~ 250g or one 14-oz can, drained)
- 1 cup cooked green peas (170g)
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup water (60g); plus more as needed
- 3 tablespoons tahini (45g)
- Juice of 1/2 lemon, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
- Spices or herbs of your choice, to taste
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (42g)
Preparation
Combine all ingredients except olive oil in a food processor.
Begin blending while streaming in the olive oil.
If the mixture is too dry, add more water as needed, about 1 tablespoon at a time.
Blend until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
Taste and adjust the seasonings if needed, then serve immediately.
Notes
Yields approximately 2 cups.
Can be enjoyed as a dip, spread, or on its own.
