Chocolate Rice Pudding with Mastic
Ingredients
- 5 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon rose water
- 1/2 cup short-grain Egyptian rice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 5 mastic crystals
- 300 grams chocolate
For decoration
- pistachios from Aleppo
Preparation
In a pot, combine milk and rice and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer until rice is soft and mixture thickens, stirring occasionally.
Add sugar, rose water, mastic crystals, and chocolate, stirring until chocolate melts and everything is well combined.
Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Decorate with pistachios before serving.
