Crunchy Shish Tawook

Ingredients

  • 3 large chicken fillets

Spices

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground chili
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Coating mixture

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons liquid chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 chopped pickle cucumber

For frying

  • corn oil

For serving

  • potatoes

Preparation

  1. Marinate the chicken in the spice mixture for at least 30 minutes.

  2. Beat the eggs in a bowl.

  3. Coat the chicken pieces in flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

  4. Heat corn oil in a frying pan and cook the chicken until golden and crispy.

  5. In a separate bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients and mix well.

  6. Serve the fried chicken with the prepared sauce and fried potatoes.
