Crispy Meat-Filled Samosas
Ingredients
Dough
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup corn oil
- 3/4 cup milk
Filling
- 1 tablespoon corn oil
- 500 grams ground meat
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon mixed spices
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed chili
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
For frying
- corn oil
Preparation
Mix the dough ingredients together and knead until smooth, then let it rest for about 30 minutes.
Heat 1 tablespoon of corn oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onion until softened.
Add the ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
Stir in the salt, black pepper, mixed spices, and crushed chili, then add the chopped carrots and parsley, and cook until the vegetables are tender.
Divide the dough into small balls and roll each one into a thin circle, then cut each circle in half to form semi-circles.
Place a spoonful of the filling on one edge of each semi-circle, fold into a triangle shape, and seal the edges firmly.
Heat corn oil in a deep fryer or large pan to medium-high heat and fry the samosas until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
Remove the samosas from the oil and drain on paper towels before serving.
