Chicken Puff Pastry Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 packet puff pastry squares
  • 1 tablespoon corn oil
  • 1 chopped green onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 cups cooked chopped chicken
  • 1 medium chopped sweet green pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon mixed spices
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

For frying

  • corn oil

Preparation

  1. Remove the puff pastry from the freezer and let it come to room temperature.

  2. In a wide skillet, add oil and heat it over medium heat.

  3. Add chopped green onion and stir for a few seconds.

  4. Add minced garlic and stir until fragrant.

  5. Add cooked chopped chicken, chopped sweet green pepper, salt, black pepper, and mixed spices, then stir for a few seconds until mixed and let the mixture cool.

  6. Add shredded mozzarella cheese and mix well with the chicken mixture.

  7. Cut the puff pastry squares into smaller squares using a pizza cutter.

  8. Take a small amount of the chicken and cheese mixture with your fingers, place it in the center of a pastry square, fold the pastry over the filling, seal it well, and shape it into a ball.

  9. In a deep skillet, add corn oil to a depth of about 2 inches and heat over medium heat.

  10. Fry the chicken puff balls in batches until they are golden brown.

  11. Remove the fried balls with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  12. Serve the chicken puff balls immediately with pickles and olives.
