Fatteh with Meat, Chickpeas, and Pine Nuts

Ingredients

Chickpea mixture

  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Yogurt sauce

  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Bread

  • 1 loaf bread

Meat

  • 200 grams meat
  • 4 tablespoons corn oil

Garnish

  • Pine nuts

Preparation

  1. Mix the chickpea mixture ingredients to create a sauce.

  2. Combine the yogurt sauce ingredients and set aside.

  3. Cook the meat in corn oil until fully done.

  4. Slice and toast the bread until crisp.

  5. Fry the pine nuts in ghee until golden brown.

  6. Assemble the dish by layering toasted bread, chickpea mixture, cooked meat, and yogurt sauce.

  7. Garnish with the fried pine nuts and serve immediately.
