Superfood Walnut Banana Brownies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup mashed banana (about 1.5 large ripe bananas)
- 1/4 cup tahini (or any creamy nut/seed butter)
- 1/2 cup raw cacao powder
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Optional: Handful of raw walnuts
- Optional: Handful of chocolate chips
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas and tahini until well mixed.
Add raw cacao powder, coconut sugar, and baking soda to the banana mixture. Mix until smooth and evenly combined.
If desired, fold in the optional raw walnuts and chocolate chips.
Grease a bread loaf pan with avocado or coconut oil and line it with parchment paper.
Pour the brownie batter into the lined pan, spreading it evenly to create a 1-inch layer.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Once baked, remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Cut into squares and enjoy!
