Healthy Chocolate Tarts with Baked Oats
Ingredients
- 8 tbsp oats (use gluten free if required)
- 2 tbsp milk (use almond or soya if vegan)
- 2 tbsp chocolate spread (I use a vegan one)
- Icing sugar and water to decorate
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 180C, 350F, or Gas Mark 4.
Blend oats to a powder, then add to a bowl with milk.
Stir until it clumps together and forms a dough ball.
Split the dough ball in two, place each on a work surface, flatten, and pinch the edges to create a crust without using a tin.
Fill each crust with chocolate spread, place on a baking tray, and bake for 15 minutes.
Allow to cool, then mix icing sugar with water to make a thick paste and drizzle over the top.
Notes
This recipe contains no butter, oil, eggs, or flour.
It is low in sugar, fat, and calories, and high in fiber.
