Healthy Jam Tarts with Oat Crust
Ingredients
- 8 tbsp oats (use gluten-free if required)
- 2 tbsp milk (use almond/soya if vegan)
- 2 tbsp jam
- Icing sugar + water to decorate
Preparation
Pre-heat your oven to 180C/350F/Gas Mark 4.
Blend oats to a powder, then add to a bowl with milk.
Stir so it clumps together and forms a dough ball.
Split the ball in two then put each one onto a work surface, flatten, then pinch the edges with your fingertips, forcing the dough upwards to create a crust. (I went free-hand rather than using a tin.)
Fill each with jam, pop onto a baking tray then oven bake for 15 minutes.
Leave to cool. Mix icing sugar with water to form a thick paste then drizzle over the top.
