Air-Fried Tortilla Chips with Spicy Guacamole
Ingredients
Airfried chips
- wholewheat/plain flour tortillas
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/3 tsp salt
Spicy guacamole
- 1 ripe avocado
- pinch of salt
- 1-2 tbsp lemon/lime juice
- 1/2 chopped red onion
- 1 diced tomato
- handful of chopped coriander
- 2 green chillies
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
Preparation
Cut the tortilla chips into triangles. Place them in a bowl and toss them with olive oil, use your hands to help rub the oil onto the surface to make the spices stick better. Add smoked paprika, garlic powder and salt, toss to coat. Place in your airfryer and cook at 180°C for 5 to 7 minutes; the chips will be soft when they come out but will crisp up as they cool, and if you want them crispier, return them to the airfryer for a couple more minutes.
Mash the avocado using a pinch of salt, leave some chunks for texture, and add lemon or lime juice to prevent browning, then set aside. Dice the remaining ingredients and pound the cumin seeds in a pestle and mortar. Add all the ingredients to the mashed avocado, mix well, taste for seasoning, and add more salt if needed.
Serve the guacamole with the chips and enjoy.
Tips
Adjust the number of green chillies based on your spice tolerance.
