Homemade Vegan Chickpea Protein Bars
Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas
- 70g vanilla protein powder
- 1/4 cup almond butter (or any other nut butter)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 30g chocolate chips
Preparation
Drain and rinse the chickpeas from the can.
In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpeas, vanilla protein powder, almond butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
Mash or blend the mixture until it forms a thick, uniform dough.
Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Press the mixture firmly into a lined baking dish or shape into bars.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set, or bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes if a firmer texture is desired.
