Pulled Oyster Mushrooms with BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
- 250g oystermushrooms
- Pinch of brown sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 2tbsp water
Preparation
Wash and shred the mushrooms with 2 forks.
Heat a pan over high heat with 1 tablespoon oil.
When the oil is hot enough, add the mushrooms, press them a bit and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Flip the mushrooms and allow the other sides to cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Add the other ingredients and mix properly with the mushrooms.
Let the mushrooms cook for another 5 minutes.
Reduce heat to medium-high and cook for another 5-10 minutes until the sauce gets a sticky consistency.
Serving ideas
Serve in Buddha bowls, tacos, sandwiches, or wraps.
Enjoy with French fries and coleslaw for a casual evening.
