Super Crispy Tofu Nuggets
Ingredients
- 400g smoked tofu (or plain)
- 80g flour
- 100 ml water
- 120g unsweetened cornflakes
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Optional: 1 tsp brown sugar
- Rapeseed oil for frying
Preparation
Wrap the tofu in a clean kitchen towel to press out the liquid, place a heavy pan or bowl on top, and set aside for half an hour.
Cut the tofu block into slices and then into nuggets with a knife.
Prepare two bowls: in one, combine flour, sea salt, nutritional yeast, water, optional brown sugar, and garlic powder; in the other, finely crumble the cornflakes.
Dip each tofu nugget first in the batter and then coat with cornflakes.
Fry the coated nuggets in rapeseed oil for 3-4 minutes, then remove and drain on kitchen paper.
Serve with a dip of your choice and enjoy.

Try with guacamole, pea dip, ketchup, curry dip, or garlic sauce.
