Vegan Chocolate French Toast

Ingredients

  • 3/4 -1 cup (180-240 ml) almond milk or your choice of plant milk
  • 1 Tbsp. flaxseed meal or ground chia seeds
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • Vanilla extract
  • Pinch of pink salt
  • 3 slices GF buckwheat bread (or your favourite bread)

Preparation

  1. Mix everything except the bread.

  2. Place the bread in a shallow plate and pour the mixture over the bread.

  3. Coat the mixture on both sides.

  4. Optionally, leave it in the fridge overnight.

  5. Cook with coconut oil until both sides are lightly brown.

  6. Serve with your favorite toppings.
