Crunchy Homemade Tapioca Chips
Ingredients
- 1 cup tapioca
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- salt
- cumin seeds
- water
Preparation
Soak tapioca for 4 hours.
Drain the water and add 6 cups of water, then boil until the tapioca is dissolved and the mixture turns slightly gray or black.
Add salt and cumin seeds.
Mix 1/2 cup of rice flour in water and add this mixture to the tapioca mixture, then mix well.
Close the lid and let it stand for a few minutes.
Drying
Lay a cotton cloth or sheet in the sun.
Using a spoon, spread out the tapioca base in small discs.
Let it dry in the sun for about 2 days.
When the discs are well dried, remove them and store in an airtight container.
Cooking
Heat oil on a low flame.
Fry the tapioca chips in the oil.
Serve as a snack or main course.
