Delicious Homemade Veggie Sushi Rolls

Ingredients

  • brown rice
  • nori
  • carrot
  • avocado
  • red cabbage
  • sesame seeds
  • sweet sauce

Preparation

  1. Cook the brown rice according to package instructions and let it cool.

  2. Prepare the vegetables by slicing the carrot, avocado, and red cabbage into thin strips.

  3. Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo rolling mat with the shiny side down.

  4. Spread an even layer of cooked rice over the nori, leaving a small border at the top edge.

  5. Arrange the sliced vegetables and other fillings in a line across the center of the rice.

  6. Roll the nori tightly from the bottom, using the mat to shape it into a firm cylinder.

  7. Use a sharp knife to cut the roll into bite-sized pieces.

  8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with sweet sauce for dipping.

Tips

  1. If you have trouble keeping the roll together, try using less ingredients, slightly wetting the nori, and pressing the rice on the edges to act as an adhesive.
