Delicious Vegan Chocolate Buns

Ingredients

  • 120ml plant-based milk
  • 70g brown sugar
  • 21g fresh yeast
  • 500g flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 150g soy yogurt
  • 50g plant-based butter
  • 100g chocolate chips
  • Soy cream

Preparation

  1. Slightly heat up the plant-based milk.

  2. Mix the milk with 2 tablespoons of sugar and the fresh yeast.

  3. Let the mixture sit for a couple of minutes until it starts to foam.

  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, salt, and the remaining sugar.

  5. Form a hole in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour in the yeast mixture.

  6. Add the plant-based butter and soy yogurt to the bowl.

  7. Knead the ingredients well until you have a smooth dough.

  8. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a moist towel.

  9. Let the dough rise for one hour (or overnight) with the towel on top.

  10. Carefully fold in the chocolate chips into the dough.

  11. Shape the dough into nine buns and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

  12. Cover the buns with a towel and let them rise for another half hour.

  13. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with two-sided heat.

  14. Coat the buns with some plant-based cream.

  15. Bake the buns for about twenty to thirty minutes until golden brown.
