Easy 20-Minute Mushroom Pulled Pork
Ingredients
- 20 oz King Oyster Mushrooms per serving
- 1 tsp Salt
- Pinch Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- Favorite BBQ Sauce
- Bun
Preparation
After cleaning the mushrooms, gently shred the stalks with a fork beginning just below the cap. You can either save caps for another dish, or chop up and add to your shreds.
Add shreds to a pan on medium heat, add all the spices and stir. Cook until tender (about 10 minutes) then add your favorite BBQ sauce, and heat to desired eating temp.
At this point it’s time to put on a bun with your favorite toppings and enjoy.
Tips
The caps will taste fine in your pulled pork, you just won’t have a completely shredded look if that’s what you’re going for.
