Golden Coconut Oats with Turmeric and Spices
Ingredients
- 1/2 C full fat coconut milk, plus more for topping
- 1/2 C water
- 1/3 C @bobsredmill GF rolled oats
- 1 tsp @manitobaharvest hemp seeds
- 1 tsp @navitasorganics flax seeds
- 1 TBSP @wholesomesweet coconut sugar
- 1 TBSP unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp lemon zest
- pinch of salt
Toppings
- @purely_elizabeth GF granola
- unsweetened coconut flakes
- toasted pecans
- sliced strawbs
Preparation
Bring coconut milk and water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add in all other ingredients and reduce heat. Simmer for 10-12 minutes.
Transfer to bowl and stir in some extra coconut milk - use the cream from the top of the can for this part. Top with remaining toppings.
