Leftover Daal Paratha
Ingredients
- 1 cup leftover daal
- 1 cup chickpea flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour/chapati flour
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Finely chopped coriander
- Chopped chillies
- Salt to taste
- Ghee (clarified butter) for frying
- Pickle of choice
- Yogurt
Preparation
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of leftover daal, 1 cup of chickpea flour, and 1 cup of whole wheat flour.
Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric, finely chopped coriander, chopped chillies, and salt to taste.
Mix the ingredients together to form a soft dough. If needed, adjust the consistency by adding more flour or a splash of water.
Take small golf ball-sized portions of the dough and roll them into parathas on a floured surface.
Heat a frying pan and add a teaspoon of ghee to it. Pan-fry the parathas on both sides for a few minutes until they are cooked through and golden brown.
Serve the daal parathas immediately with pickle and yogurt.
