Smoky Black Bean Shakshuka

Ingredients

  • 200g tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons herby cream cheese
  • 1 pack of Merchant Gourmet Smoky Black Beans
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoky paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 2 large free-range eggs
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C. In a large oven-safe dish, combine the tomato sauce, beans, chili flakes, and cream cheese. Mix well.

  2. Create two wells in the sauce and crack an egg into each.

  3. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the egg whites are just set and the yolks remain jammy. For firmer yolks, bake for 25 minutes. Serve warm and enjoy.
