Sambusa Sandwich with Cheese and Meat

Ingredients

  • 1 packet regular toast
  • 200 grams ground meat
  • 1 tablespoon corn oil
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spices
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3-4 tablespoons grated cheddar cheese
  • 3-4 tablespoons melted butter

Preparation

  1. In a medium-sized stainless steel pot, place the meat and oil, put the pot on medium heat and stir until the meat's water evaporates

  2. Add the onion and stir until it softens, then add the garlic, carrots, spices, salt, and black pepper, stir the meat until fully cooked and let it cool completely, then place the meat in a wide plate

  3. On a piece of aluminum foil, place the bread slices

  4. Using a wide brush, brush the bread slices with melted butter and flip them to the other side

  5. Spread the meat on half of the bread slices, spread the cheese on the meat, and place the remaining bread slices on top to form the sandwiches

  6. Heat an electric waffle iron until very hot

  7. Place two stuffed sandwich pieces in the iron, close the iron well on the bread and wait for several minutes until toasted

  8. Cut each sandwich into triangles and serve immediately
