Hungarian Style Creamy Chicken Paprikash

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1kg chicken thighs (chunks)
  • 2 onions (diced)
  • 2 red peppers (diced)
  • 1/2 cup paprika
  • 400ml stock
  • 150ml cream
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • Salt & pepper

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in sauté pan on medium-high heat.

  2. Season chicken, sear it skin-side down for 5 minutes, flip and cook for another 3 minutes, then remove from the pan.

  3. Cook onion for 4-5 minutes, then add peppers and paprika and cook for 1 minute.

  4. Stir in cornflour and stock, return chicken to the pan, cover, and simmer for 25 minutes.

  5. Stir in cream and season to taste.
