Malaysian Ant Nest Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup flour
- 5 eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1/3 cup condensed milk
Preparation
Cook sugar over low heat until it turns brown.
Gradually add water to the sugar mixture until dissolved, then turn off the heat and let it cool slightly.
Beat eggs until well combined, then stir in condensed milk.
Strain the sugar syrup to remove any lumps and add it to the egg mixture.
Sift flour and baking soda together, add to the mixture, and stir until well combined.
Pour the batter into the rice cooker.
Bake in the rice cooker until fully cooked, indicated by the warm button activating.
