Patterned Chocolate Marble Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup yogurt or milk
  • 2.5 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 packets baking powder
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1 lemon zest

Preparation

  1. Whisk the eggs with sugar.

  2. Add oil and milk, then whisk again.

  3. Add flour, lemon zest, and baking powder, and mix with a whisk or mixer on low speed.

  4. Mix cocoa into half of the batter.

  5. Divide the batter into the mold to create the pattern, and spread plain batter on the edges to form a wall-like structure.

  6. Place in a cold oven at 170 degrees and bake until done, checked with a toothpick.
